AbstractWe are continually being called upon to do more with less, and as that pressure keeps on increasing every year it often seems to be a race we cannot win, but the answer to many problems may lie in one of the things which we see as a problem – data. We often seem to be overwhelmed with data, whereas what we really need is information and knowledge. This paper explores some of the methods which are being used to transform data into information and knowledge – and how that can be used to optimise our O&M practices and procedures. | |
