What's New in Proficy Change Management v5.8?

New Web-Based End User Client

The new HTML-based client is a thin easy-to-deploy client with a small footprint that will save you time and effort installing or updating the clients. It also provides easy access to projects on the Change Management server. The client provides access to common end user functions such as check out, check in, open, version reports, compare and more.

Web Client

The new Drag and Drop configuration allows customers to easily create a user interface to organize projects and provide customized web pages if desired.

New Scheduler Interface and Engine

The Scheduler allows you to automate popular operations for backup and compare functions, which provides the ability to ensure the integrity of automation systems. The schedulers will read PLCs and compare them to master versions on the server and reports results, as well as make back ups of the changes. The new Scheduler allows you to group events logically and works on a subscription model, where the engines subscribe to the events created on the server—allowing you to organize your events logically.

Schneider ProWORX 32 Support

Version 5.8 now supports ProWORX 32 projects. This new module allows you to manage and control changes to your projects, providing the standard version control, check out, check in, and auditing of changes, as well as manual and scheduled comparisons between versions or the PLC.
