The Retrofit Procedure:

GE Fanuc recommends a retrofit solution only after conducting a detailed analysis of the machine tool and the performance requirements desired by the customer. The steps involved in the retrofitting process from analysis to implementation are:

  1. A GE Fanuc Sales Engineer (SE) conducts a detailed analysis of the customer’s requirements at the site 
  2. If retrofitting is the best solution, the SE passes on the details of the retrofit opportunity to GE Fanuc’s Retrofit Program Leader. 
  3. The Retrofit Program Leader analyzes the requirements against the capabilities of our retrofit solution providers and selects the most qualified integrator. The Retrofit Program Leader also takes into consideration the lead-time requirements, the project budget, and the application type in order to ensure that customer’s goals are met completely.  
  4. The GE Fanuc retrofit partner visits the customer to build the bill of material and to provide a quote for the work. 
  5. The retrofit is completed using GE Fanuc premium products and expert service implementation team including the continuous support of GE Fanuc’s Advanced Application Engineers.
