The latest release of our award winning historian brings our solution to new heights with a number of key updates and enhancements including high-availability server and collector capabilities, new alarm and event services and a number of additional key features that will allow you to get even more value out of your investment in Proficy Historian.

What's New in 3.0
The new capabilities in the Proficy Historian 3.0 release are listed below. Major functional areas that have been enhanced for this release include:

• OPC "Alarms & Events" - Collect and store alarms and events from any OPC A&E server including iFIX, CIMPLICITY and many other SCADA packages. This capability will enable customers to store all of their plant information - process data, A&E, and eSignatures - in one integrated platform.

• Redundancy and High Availability - all of the data collectors in version 3.0 can be configured to accommodate 'n-level' redundant configurations so that data collection will automatically swap to the best available source should the primary collector fail. In addition, version 3.0 now supports Microsoft Cluster Server 2003 - enabling 24/7/365 data availability.

• OSI PI connectivity - powerful and easy-to-use 2-way PI connectivity enables sharing data between Proficy Historian and OSI Software. This enables customers to choose the best migration strategy from PI to Proficy Historian. They can move "all at once", incrementally, or even maintain both - all the time having the confidence of knowing that data can be readily shared between the two systems.

• Improved National Language Support - Enhancements have been made to our localization capabilities in version 3.0 including support for running the English product on any non-English version of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel that are supported by the English product.

• Much more - a number of other additional usability and performance enhancements including improved OPC tag browsing, archive compression, collector performance and "free" connectivity to GE Fanuc products!
