Maryrose was born on July 14, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio and graduated in 1987 with a B.S. degree dual majoring in Procurement and Production Management. She completed an internship assignment at GE Motors in Fort Wayne, Indiana prior to her graduation. Maryrose joined GE Lighting in 1988 in their Sourcing organization where she progressed through various positions of increasing scope and complexity. In 1992, she was appointed Manager, Raw Material for GE Lighting Worldwide Sourcing and in 1993 her role was expanded to include Worldwide Direct Materials. Maryrose completed her MBA studies at Cleveland State University in June of 1993. In 1995, Maryrose was appointed Director, Sourcing for GE Lighting Europe located in Budapest, Hungary. Maryrose was named General Manager - Worldwide Sourcing in March of 1997 where she had responsibility for the sourcing activities of GEL's global business with a focus on developing and building the business' sourcing activities in Eastern Europe, China and Mexico.

In January 1999, Maryrose was assigned as General Manager - High Output Products where she was responsible for developing and executing a business strategy that maximized the sales and contribution margin for this rapidly growing product line.

In June 2000, Maryrose became President & CEO for GE Lighting Systems (GELS) in Hendersonville, North Carolina. GELS is a global manufacturer and marketer of high intensity discharge lighting fixtures

In May 2002, Maryrose was assigned as President & CEO of GE Quartz where she had profit and loss responsibility for a leading global business that develops, manufactures, markets and sells fused quartz and boron nitride products for semi-conductor, lighting, electronic, fiber optic and industrial applications. Maryrose was appointed a Company officer in December 2002.

In February 2006, Maryrose was assigned to her most recent position as President & CEO of GE Fanuc. GE Fanuc is a joint venture between GE and FANUC LTD of Japan and delivers automation hardware and software designed to help users reduce costs, increase efficiency and enhance profitability. With solutions and services catering to virtually every industrial segment, GE Fanuc provides a diverse array of capabilities and products, including controllers, embedded systems, advanced software, motion control, CNCs, operator interfaces, industrial computers, and lasers. Headquartered in Charlottesville, VA, GE Fanuc is a part of GE Industrial and combines the diverse global strengths of the GE family with the local presence customers need to design, develop and maintain their automation investments.

Maryrose is a founding member and cabinet leader of the GE Women's Network (GEWN), and she is active in several philanthropic organizations.
